On Tuesday January 26th, at 3:24 pm, Man Wen, CO 2019,  scored his first varsity career “bucket” against Far Rockaway High School.

Once he had the ball, Wen dribbled down the court as the crowd filled with ambition. As soon as he got to the basket, he shot the ball into the top right corner of the box, and it slid through the netting and onto the floor. The entire gym erupted with cheers of happiness and excitement. The coaches, players and people in the crowd continuously cheered phrases such as “yeah Man” and “lets go Man”.

On reaching this milestone in his basketball career, Man Wen said, “I was very excited and felt very proud to score for the first time.” The smile on his face was priceless. His basketball dream came true.
